Digital Overload: There are benefits to the digital revolution which has enabled some businesses to leverage on-line shopping solutions to move forward in our current COVID-19 environment. Without question this event has reinforced the need to be digitally evolved and has pressed many small business owners into undertaking the task of developing and deploying an on-line shopping solution for their brands.
There are however some challenges to this type of undertaking. Many small business owners typically are masters of the “multi-task” and often on a given day will wear many hats in their day-to-day business, as the old saying goes, head chef and chief bottle washer pretty much covers it.
For most of us, we are used to these many hats , some of them we’re naturals at, others not so much. We all can’t be experts at all these jobs. Now throw in an e-commerce project and poof a whole new set of business skills will need to be developed.
The purpose of this session is to help reveal some of the challenges small business owners will face to get up and running with an on-line experience for their customers. We will provide an overview of some of these hurdles to be expected, such as:
- What eCommerce solution do I use?
- Who processes the transaction?
- Who handles shipping?
- Who handles stock control?
- What does the workflow look like?
- What kind of photos/logos/branding do I need?
- How do I market this system?
We will expand on some of these important questions and provide valuable feedback on best practices to help you develop a manageable workflow for your on-line business solution.
